About Us

Our Lab

The Health Systems Research Lab is a collaborative health services and policy research team with members across Canada. We share research resources and expertise with the goal of improving health systems. The HSR Lab is co-led by four researchers, enabled by staff, inspired by student trainees, and informed by a knowledge user advisory group. We strive to create a safe, inclusive, and accessible space for training and collaboration.

About Us

Our Work

Our goal is to strengthen health systems to better serve those who rely on them and those who deliver care within them. Our projects are multi-method and focus on health services and policy in the areas of primary care and mental health. We bring together diverse viewpoints, skills, and expertise to conduct research across topics, methods, jurisdictions, and institutions. Concerns about equity in health services and power in health systems motivate our work.

The Health Systems Research Lab acknowledges that our work spans many Territories and Treaty areas.

We recognize the ancestral and unceded lands of all the First Nations, Inuit, and Métis people who call these lands home and are grateful to those on whose territories we live and work.
